Stanford grad, K. Flay has been shaking up the Bay Area for a minute now scoring an appearance on the This Is The End soundtrack as well as collaborating with Danny Brown. Her latest single, "Rawks" of her What If It Is EP, is an eery journey into the 28 year old's life as the rap game Sylvia Plath. K. Flay deals with self-doubt, fears of being broke, and anxiety over production that is absolutely mesmerizing. Her laid back delivery has an intenseness to it that makes her incredibly unique as an MC, "basically we're Lennon John/ young and dead and gone/ whiskey tipsy keep on slipping don't know which end of the bed I'm on." You will no doubt have to dive deeper into her catalogue after hearing "Rawks" and the rest of the What If It Is EP. K. Flay is set to hit the road on August 10 and will be joining Swedish sensations Icona Pop on their North American tour from August 13 onward.
