Jay Francis of Berlin, Germany goes by the moniker EMERSE and has been creating music most definitely worthy of being today's Daily 2%. "Without Answers" is a downtempo yet somewhat experimental tune that features synth struggling to find its rhythm. Both a producer and sound engineer, EMERSE's work teems with individuality with every track released. "Echoes" and his re-work of Flume's "Sleepless" were two highlight singles released in his musical past. Inspired by a plethora of artists such as Four Tet, Bonobo, Flying Lotus, and Mount Kimbie, "Without Answers" depicts Francis' ability to channel aspects of various genres and package it all together with his infamous magic touch. It's light, melodic and soulful, reminding us of the likes of Nicolas Jaar, James Blake and Baskerville in the best ways possible.
