Carol City Native & Former Raider Klan member Denzel Curry really goes off on his latest track "Live This Shit". The title is self explanatory as it features Curry spitting over haunting production by his mentor SpaceGhostPurrp. Incorporating the light lo-fi feel that these young Florida rappers are bringing to the rest of the world. Denzel has remained consistent with this flow over his past three mixtapes. In the song it seems as though he is warning others not to trust those around them and to focus on trusting themselves.
These are words repeated daily in hip-hop but the fuse of lo-fi instrumentals and the authenticity that this young artist portrays makes it that much more appealing. "Live This Shit" will not be featured on Curry's upcoming album, Nostalgic 64 which is set to be released September 3. As the hype surrounding Nostalgic 64 builds, t's interesting to see which cuts make the album. With throwaways like this the final project should be a really good one.
