One half of the production duo Layo & Bushwacka!, Matthew B aka Bushwacka!, has embarked on a new project entitled Just Be. His first release under this moniker, “Don’t Make Me Wait For You” just dropped today on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint. The track features songstress Jesse Monroe’s slinky vocals, laid out smoothly atop a deep house groove evocative of early garage house, but with a fresh new feel.
It was during the early 90’s that Just B got his start. Emerging from the melting pot of the UK music scene, Matthew’s sound found it’s roots in the underground warehouse parties and illegal raves that encouraged creative liberty and forward thinking production. So it is no wonder that his latest beat will have you grooving well into the morning sunrise.
