Everyone loves a good 90s R&B classic switched up into something more club-ready. With producers like Kaytranada smashing out remix after remix, this one courtesy of Brenmar and Murlo is another big one. Both producers are known for their R&B driven sounds, with the former previously sampling this Brownstone song for "Want Me" in 2011. This 1994 smash hit has previously been switched up by Jessie Ware and BenZel who created something more easy going and similar to the original but this one is all about turning the song into an uncomplicated big club tune.
Brownstone's slow and smooth original is infused with a variety of club-ready beats and energy, making this banger dance floor ready. With a variety of verses and switched up vocals, the roots of the song are still very much in the core of this remix. Definitely unpretentious with a focus on bass and percussion, this remix could fit into any club/R&B charged set that even the most miserable, bass hating bastard couldn't resist moving to. I am sure it will be seen in many DJ sets to come. Catch Brenmar when he tours the U.S. and Japan this summer.
