With two EPs already under his belt, electronic music producer AbdeCaf is well on his way to making a mark in the music scene. AbdeCaf released his Unravel EP over a year ago and shortly after dropped his Rebuild EP. It's the haunting samples and play with short 8-bit bleeps that make Unravel such an alluring release. Topping that months later with what I believe to be his best work is the Rebuild EP. It features artists like Koda and Soft Lighting and adds a fuller, more eclectic taste. The entire EP feels more like a soundtrack to a movie than an electronic album.
The EP starts off with a mix of stoner hip hop, including the recent epic collaboration between Clams Casino and rapper MF Doom as well as Cashmere Cat's new remix of Miguel's "Do You". It then swiftly jumps up a notch with more upbeat bass heavy dance tracks such as Araabmuzik's "Never Have to Worry" and Rules' "Dance, Love, Demise".
Not until 28 minutes into the mix do we hear our first original track by AbdeCaf. He closes his set with nearly all originals including two collaborative tracks with Koda and Soft Lighting, "You Are a Pioneer" and "Never Know". Stand out tracks also include "Old Flame" which chops up vocals from The Weeknd's "Crew Love" and also "27th" which features A$AP P On The Boards.
