Gilbere Forté is just a project release away from really breaking through. The talented young MC has been through his share of ups and downs as an artist, but he seems to be on the right track as of late. He recently inked a label deal with Epic Records, signed a representation agreement with powerhouse agency CAA, and rebranded himself so anyone paying attention in hip-hop who hears or sees the word "pray" thinks of his Raak-produced single and new EP of the same title (clearly a testament to his dedicated team). Gilbere just released "The Awakening," the video trailer for his forthcoming album Pray. The track itself features a reflective Forté over some great atmospheric production. Check it out below.
