Not much is known about the TWRK duo, other than the serious weight they're bringing to the table. As of now, they only have two tracks on their SoundCloud and less than a hundred followers on Twitter, but don't let that fool you. This DJ/producer dream team are cooking up some serious booty bass and twerk tunes that will take the trap game by storm.
Their most recent release, "Living Room" featuring Dan Gerous, kicks off with a sample from that infamous Eve track, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" featuring Gwen Stefani. Technically, at 95 bpm, this track is one of the slower jams more common to the hip-hop and moombahton genres, but when the bass kicks in and that transposed "Gin and Juice" sample starts, it becomes obvious that "Living Room" is going in its own direction. The change in vibe halfway through triggers a weird combination of flashbacks to middle school slow dances, blunt cruising through senior year of high school, and those late sub-humping nights in sketchy basement clubs. Can't say there's anything wrong with that, though.
If you're in the mood for a nostalgia fix while getting down and dirty with the southern bass and snares, grab the free download of "Living Room" and keep your eye on the mysterious TWRK in the very near future.
