Russ Chimes – "Turn Me Out" (Annie Starlight Remix) [Premiere]

We're excited to have the opportunity to provide EARMILK readers with the exclusive premiere of Russ Chimes' newest release, "Turn Me Out", remixed by Annie Starlight. London-based electronic producer Russ Chimes brings his own unique sound to the electronic scene, making it an easy ride into the industry as a relative newcomer.

Chimes has already compiled an impressive roster of remixes to his arsenal. He's remixed for established artists like Mark Ronson, Ellie Goulding, Booka Shade, Kelis, and Marina & The Diamonds. Chimes fuses energetic beats with groove, melody, bursts of vocals, and sound effects that add to the listening experience rather than taking away from it. The track we're sharing with you, "Turn Me Out", is no exception to that description.

This dope track has a magical feel to it, almost atmospheric, with a steady downbeat that is most certainly grindable, danceable, and smokeable. The sound almost has an ambient feel to it and the sound effects definitely take the listener to another state of consciousness. This blend of electronic genres makes "Turn Me Out" transcend moods and states of mind. It's listenable during the work day, bumpable for night-cruising, and a great come-down track for 4 am as well. We definitely vibe with this track. We urge you to check it out and follow Russ Chimes for releases soon to come (like this one, out on Deconstruction/Columbia Records on April 29th).
