Late Pass, this past Monday morning (March 11th), a 6-month-old baby named Johnylah Watkins was shot multiple times in Chicago as her father changed her diaper. Shortly after hearing the tragic news, Chi-town native Lupe Fiasco drops a new record dedicated to the 6 -month-old infant girl, titled, "Jonylah Forever".
As the record brings an old-school boom bap backdrop, Lupe illustrates Johnylah Watkins life if she had lived. There’s no word yet on if this is just a one-off track or if it’s destined for a future Fiasco release. Props to P&P.
