A couple of weeks ago, Major Lazer released a compilation of insane remixes titled Lazer Strikes Back, Vol. 1 (side note the Yellow Claw remix of “Get Free” is top notch). This mix was released shortly after they announced that their sophomore album, Free The Universe, would be delayed until April 15.
To make up for those fans waiting patiently they released this, Lazer Strikes Back, Vol. 2, which contains four Lazer remixes from some pretty legit artists. The song that set the trap music scene ablaze, “Original Don”, remixed by none other than the hoodie boys themselves, Flosstradamus, opens up the mix. Producers The Reef and Blood Diamonds also have remixes featured here.
Closing it out is a funky new track sampling Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” with reggae singer Popcaan providing the vocals. Be sure to cop the mixtape and go see Major Lazer as they continue their tour.
