Justin Martin & Eats Everything
Feather Fight
Hypercolour 2013-02-11
HYPEDIGI28
It comes as somewhat of a surprise to realize that Justin Martin & Eats Everything have only just released their first collaboration together, this one a two track EP released on Hypercolour. The Dirtybird influence shines bright on this release, especially on "Harpy", but where the magic really happens is "Feather Fight", which features a seemingly endless riser that builds into exactly what we've come to expect from Justin. Eats Everything puts his touch on the track with a growling bass that gets added to the mix midway through. A big release for both producers and a collaboration long over due, it's just the beginning of Eats' work today on The Club.

Friends Will Carry You Home Too (Part 1)
Pets Recordings 2013-02-04
PETS028
Pets Recordings, the new label from Catz 'n Dogz, just dropped Part 1 of their compilation album titled "Friends Will Carry You Home To", which features exactly what we've come to expect from the Polish DJs, a range of downtempo gems from the likes of El_Txef_A and Kixsnare all the way to some exciting new stuff from Viadrina, and a remix from Eats Everything for Catz 'n Dogz "Mass Confusion", arguably the climax of the release, and just the first Eats release on The Club today. It's always refreshing when an album features something different, and Catz 'n Dogz, who are known for their unique take on the deeper shades of dance, did a fine job selecting the tracks for Part 1 of their Pets Recordings compilation debut.

Friend Within
The Game
Dirtybird 2013-02-06
DB086
Surprisingly mysterious British producer Friend Within makes his debut on Dirtybird Records with a huge in-your-face release, "The Game" EP. With the popularity of this deeper brand of tech house spiralling upwards at an incredible rate in recent times, the unknown Friend Within character has made a well-timed impressionable imprint with this record. The title track kicks off with a heavyweight, stuttering tech-house cut of a 90s underground instrumental built perfectly for peak-time floors. Bringing somewhat of a fresh spin on well-versed tech classics, Friend Within has forthcoming releases on acclaimed house labels Pet Recordings and Hypercolour in 2013, along with a 'Renegate Master' remix that has stirred up huge love from the likes of Disclosure, Monki and B. Traits. Regardless of who Friend Within is and where he/she came from, the professionalism in the production value is enough to please even the heaviest Dirtybird dancefloor.

Tiger Stripes
Bright Lights (Andre Crom Remix)
OFF Recordings 2013-02-06
OFF046
Starting out in the mid 90s as a music journalist for bands like Masters at Work, it was not until 2008 that Andre Crom moved from rural Germany where he discovered his techno love, to the heart of Berlin to pursue his career as the OFF Recordings boss. 5 years later, the label owner and producer has released the Swedish Tiger Stripes "Bright Lights" EP, complete with his own take on the record. With the original dubbed as an 'underground pop affair', Andre Crom's remix of the track has attracted support from popular deep house producers such as Kolombo, Teenage Mutants, Jesse Rose and several more. Nonetheless, with Tiger Stripes being an increasingly familiar name amongst labels like Noir, Get Physical and even Mark Knight's famous Toolroom Records, the Bright Lights release is the typically deep sound that stirs up excitement during peak time at any house music-loving venue. Released February 6th on Beatport and on vinyl

Wrong
Exploited 2013-01-21
EXPDIGITAL28
Berlin-based deep house producer Claptone returns to the famous Exploited Records to kickstart 2013 with the release of his two-track Wrong EP. Leading with the instantly recognizable riff from Dr. Dre’s "Still D.R.E," title track "Wrong" turns the '90s classic into a track of growling bass and deep chugging grooves and a surprisingly fitting 118bpm. On the flip, the duo brings aboard dOP singer Jaw to pen "No Eyes," a track rife with ambience and melodic vitality. As Claptone's latest EP, it's a great first release of the year and shows a promising 2013 ahead.

I Don't Feel (Deetron Remix)
Eskimo 2013-01-21
541416505761D
House great Deetron recently released his remix (and instrumental remix) of Aeroplane's "I Don't Feel", a bass-heavy track ideally meant for those late nights in a dark club. A sub bass growls throughout with melodic pads sprinkled overtop, there's a distinct atmosphere that Sam Geiser has been crafting in his tracks for years now. Out now on Eskimo recordings, it is available not only on Beatport and iTunes, but also on "Eskimonde", the label's first 5CD box set, featuring additional remixes by the likes of Oliver and Moonlight Matters.

Bridge So Far
Hot Creations 2013-01-21
HOTC029
Stunningly melodic, Benoit & Sergio's "Bridge So Far" is poppy enough to be accessible to listeners less accustomed to underground house, with bass deep enough to dance to until 4 a.m. Since releasing "Walk and Talk" in the fall of 2010, the duo have steadily risen to musical fame. "Bridge So Far" is their first single on Hot Creations and arguably one of the labels most successful releases since "Benediction". Fans of Benoit & Sergio's earlier music will find much to enjoy in this single, as it layers their trademark vocals over highly danceable beats.

Sharam Jey & Night Talk
The Future (Metodi Hristov Remix)
Suara 2013-02-04
SUARA075
No stranger to The Club here on EARMILK, Sharam Jey reconnects with Night Talk after their successful "Lies" release last year, this time with the deep vibes of "The Future", complete with a remix from Metodi Hristov (If you haven't listened to "Nobody" make sure to check that out to see why we're so excited about the next up n coming Bulgarian – another being KiNK who we can admit has fully arrived, case in point his remix of his girlfriend Rachel Row's "Follow The Step"). Metodi's remix takes an infectious bass line and throws in the absolute best hi hat, adding some tech to the mix, while the 3 originals on the EP demonstrate why Sharam Jey continues to dominate the funky deep house world we love to live in, releasing a simply incredible number of tracks this past year.

Eternity
Agile Recordings 2013-02-04
AGILE016
After some recent digression from his typical style, Slovenian master UMEK is back to his signature techno roots to team up with fellow tech Italian heavyweight Uto Karem with "Eternity" on Agile Recordings. As a follow up to last year's "Crossing the Lines," the infectious, pulsating vocal loop that rallies throughout this release reminds us how UMEK's classic style has gathered so much international success. After recent house music releases on Spinnin' and his own 1605, UMEK's welcome return to the techno realm will add another trophy to his position as one of the leaders in the industry. Catch him alongside Stefano Noferini & Pleasurekraft in Toronto, an Earmilk Events special presentation featuring that all star tech house cast as well as our own curator of The Club, Jamie Gone. Pirates Poetry feat Natz (Jupiter Jazz Remix)
Ellum Audio 2013-01-14
ELL010
Released on Ellum Audio, Jupiter Jazz's remix of German tech house duo Switchbox's Pirate's Poetry combines the darkly sensual vocals of singer NAtz with the label's trademark big room sound. Jupiter Jazz is comprised of Maceo Plex and fellow house music great Danny Daze, both of whom have experienced incredible success recently. Deep bass lends an addictive quality to this remix, which will most definitely be played on repeat. They have also just put up previews for their next release on Ellum, another impressive outing that cements Maceo Plex AKA Maetrik as one of the premiere producers of our generation, turning everything he touches into gold.

Chicken Lips
He Not In
Defected Recordings 2013-01-28
DFTD387D
Just released on Defected Records, Chicken Lips' "He's Not In" has an easily identifiable bassline and has been remixed by two noteworthy names in dance music: Eats Everything and Noir. In his typical bass-heavy deep house style, and just as we've heard him do with the Catz 'n Dogz remix up above, Eats Everything pumps up the bass in an explosive, dance floor-ready track. Noir's personal edit adds a frenetic, edgy sound to the original, and will most definitely be played in clubs the world over.
