Blackjob, the latest project from famed Italian bassist Mannaman, saw his debut release, the Trashdub EP, in July 2012. This month, he releases a follow-up remix EP as a digital EP and vinyl 12” on Original Cultures (OCEP003DD), with five different producers introducing their unique takes to the dub stylings of the original. Mannaman has, over the last 20 years, worked with renowned Italian artists and collectives, and here, he's joined by dub's international new school.
EARMILK has the premiere of Bristol’s Sam Binga (formerly known as Baobinga)'s take on Blackjob's "Rise Again", taking the song into 170 BPM weirdstep territory while keeping the emotional elements of the original intact while removing most of the vocal track.
