Today's delivery is brought to you by Alexander Spit. As per ritual, we put this record on repeat for the minimum of three times, and came up with a few conclusions. Let me preface this new track by saying it's not really winter for the Los Angeles-based rapper, who hit us with this follow up to The Alchemist-assisted "Getaway Car." The new single, aptly titled "Coastal/Hyperion," is an undeniable ode to his California lifestyle. Opening and ending with ocean sounds, "Coastal/Hyperion" makes you want to roll down your windows (and maybe roll something else) in that warm weather and just drive, no destination in mind. The song, co-produced by Caleb Stone, is reminiscent of old-school hip-hop while still staying true to Spit's roots. A Breathtaking Trip to That Otherside will be released via Decon Records on January 29th.
