Hello New York! October is finally here and that means besides fall, Halloween, and your best friend's 21st birthday, the annual CMJ music marathon is in less than ten days! While this could have multiple meanings: important week of networking, music discoveries, business transactions, meeting new friends, potential lovers, fulfilling that groupie dream, life revelations, etc., this five-day festival is definitely not worth missing. The official starting date is on Tuesday, October 16th and ending on Saturday, the 20th.
Location? That's for you to decide and also the best part of CMJ. Shows are scattered throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, ranging from classy concert halls to industrial warehouses. Since everything involved with the music industry is already a given at CMJ, there will also be brilliant panel discussions. A pass for all five days are $549 with student passes at the price of $325. Schedules and everything you need to know are on the CMJ website.
