No matter what name or pseudonym you know him as, Orlando Higginbottom, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs or TEED, has had an undeniably great 2012. He released his first EP Trouble earlier this summer, recently announced a world tour, and has now paired up with fellow Brit Mark Knight for a crossover remix of his single "Your Love". The former music teacher has become a favorite of Annie Mac and captivated a growing fan base by curating a unique electro pop sound with a house edge: all an agreeably great platform for a full on house remix from Knight.
Mark Knight has laid the framework for the journey that house and tech house production have taken to date. He's got the rest of 2012 jam packed with a coveted spot on the lineup for Sensation NYC, as well as the recently announced lineup for the 7-day BPM Festival, not to mention his upcoming EP release Bullet. Heading up Toolroom Records, he's influenced the creation of an empire with a specific recognizable sound. Knight himself varies in how hard he throws down bass in his productions, and this remix of the classic style that he helped perfect.
"Your Love" elevates to clubworthy with the addition of revolving swimming synths, and a churning, subtle bassline. Knight uses his magic touch to turn retro, almost disco sounding vocals and piano chords into a smooth song worth both your headphones and dancing shoes.
