Lana Del Rey debuted her new single 'Ride' today from the re-release of her debut album "Born To Die – The Paradise Edition" which drops Nov. 13. I unabashedly love Lana. I love her oft-decried voice and lyrics and I really love the luscious production on all her recordings.
The new release is no different. Ride is a dramatic ballad backed up by epic strings and washed out piano produced by the illustrious Rick Rubin. The new record will also include her cover of 'Blue Velvet', as well as the songs 'Body Electric', 'Gods & Monsters' and 'Yayo'. Perhaps the most thought-provoking track off the album would be 'Cola' in which Lana Del Rey sings, "My pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola/My eyes are wide like cherry pie." The lyrics have already spawned a internet debate about whether you would take the new #LanaDelReyPepsichallenge.
So would you?
I've put together a collection of tracks off the new album and some other goodstuff stuff to tide you over until the full-release
