In the ongoing merge between EDM and the mainstream, Britain’s Calvin Harris just upped the ante with two wins at MTV Video Music Awards: “Best Video” for his inescapable collaboration with Rihanna on “We Found Love” and “Best EDM” video for “Feel So Close.” Though his new track doesn’t feature the vocals of the international pop star, teaming up with Netherlands' Nicky Romero makes us no less excited – quite the contrary in fact. “Iron” stands as a formidable progressive house track, filled with Romero’s Dirty Dutch noise and Harris’ perfect integration of his own vocals. What shines to me is the interlude between the two drops, a perfect blend of big room noise that precedes a roller coaster climb. Harris will be coming to North America in late September and early October, while Romero will be making it to Seattle, Washington and Edmonton, Canada at the end of October.
