Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve [Elekwent Folk]

Today's delivery is brought to you by Elekwent Folk. This Vancouver based hip-hop group only recently jumped on my radar but they've been making music since about 2008. As soon as I heard their new album, Northern Lights, I was very upset that I hadn't been up on them long before because it's obvious they have talent from the first time you hit play. The group consists of AstroLogical, A-Ro and Slippery Elm who obviously are and continue to be inspired by early jazz hop. They put more emphasis on lyrics and theme instead of just going for quick commercial successful sounds which you have to appreciate. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Found Something"  which takes use of that classic chilled out harmonized vocal instrumental. Check out the track and chill….
