The Bullitts – "World Inside Your Rainbow" [Video]

The enigmatic mastermind behind the one man UK outfit The Bullitts (not to be mistaken for a band), Jeymes Samuel is back with another visual for his latest single "World Inside Your Rainbow", off his upcoming debut album, They Die By Dawn and Other Short Stories. Known for his creative, multi-layered combination of music, video and film, The Bullitts' new self-directed vid is the latest in his growing body of captivating cinematic visuals.

Known for employing a rotating cast of celebrities for his various projects, this time around Samuel called on the help of beautiful Ethiopian model Gelila Bekele to play the role of the leading woman in his latest video. Despite not uttering a single word, Bekele does an excellent job looking gorgeous. A pretty smile speaks volumes.

Recorded in renowned  producer and bassist Jerry ‘Wonder’ Duplessis' Platinum Sounds Studios in New York City, the song features Duplessis on bass and Samuel's weathered vocals. The seven minute long epic opens with a combination of booming percussion and acoustic guitar and steadily evolves into a horn-filled number with an unmistakable reggae sound. The love ballad earned a spot on BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe’s “hottest record in the world” list earlier in the week

As for The Bullitts' debut album, They Die By Dawn and Other Short Stories is scheduled to be released in September. In addition to being narrated by actress Lucy Liu who will assume the role of the concept album's femme fatale Amelia Sparks, the album will feature an impressive lineup of guest appearances from Jay Electronica, Idris Elba, Tori Amos and Yasiin Bey (Mos Def). In the meantime, check out the compelling video below and head over to iTunes to purchase The Bullitt's new single.
