To clear up any potential confusion for those who are lost, this is not Odd Future member Mike G. That said and aside, this Mike G is more than capable of living up to the chosen "dance" and "bass" tags. Booming out of Southern California, he's just had a remix come out on Hot N Heavyalongside Clicks & Whistles and held it down on a recent Freshmore podcast. His second release on Seattle-based Car Crash Set joins a roster of names like Cedaa, Mak & Pasteman,Gremino, Archie Pelago, Lokiboi, Distal – the list could go on but you get the point: it's all high quality, innovative artists. Check out the Boost EP now:

The original's air siren-esque intro gives little warning before unloading a dancefloor lethal salvo of bass and breaks. With a sledgehammering sound and a melody that is just too addictive, "Boost" feels right at home in the collection of any low-end fiend. "Damn" indeed.

Jersey Club extraordinaire DJ Sliink sets "Boost" to laser mode with a bold-faced drop and stark percussion that beautifully skips across the surface of the track. The UK's Admin takes a crack at a creeping refix that ominously and coolly drifts along before the grand finale from Melbourne'sBosstone. He transforms the original into a dramatic orchestral epic that's hard not to get emotionally invested in – this remix could easily be a film score.

The Boost EP just dropped, so pick it up now. Purchase from Beatport for a justifiably swaggering exclusive track, and for some more bonuses try some of these free bootlegs on for size. Dude is very consistent about uploading them to SoundCloud so well worth your follow. Don't sleep on this label either.
