This past weekend in Ottawa, Canadian experimental jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD covered Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music crew's single "Mercy". During their performance at the Ritual Nightclub the trio gave fans a taste of their latest jazz-infused rework.
By now it should come as no surprise what Chester, Alex and Matt are capable of crafting when they collectively set their sights on reworking a hip-hop banger like "Mercy" into a crazy free jazz interp. With a growing repertoire of insane covers of cuts from the likes of Waka Flocka to Tyler, The Creator, BBNG makes small work of transforming Kanye and company's original five-minute single into an all out 11-minute jam session full of surprises.
