The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as an oldies section into the weekly feature.

You'll be hearing amazing bass-driven tunes from the softer, chiller side of dubstep to the filthy, grimier side that everybody loves to rage to. I'll also dip into the world of drum & bass as well as add some classic tunes from the 'golden age' of dubstep. All I ask from you guys is to enjoy and download. Once the weekend hits, steal the iPod at the party and throw on these songs. Guarantee it will make the place jump!

BASS

'Tis the season for summer bangers, which means… commence Damian Marley remixes. And we've got a couple big ones for you guys. Both remix tracks from TYR and GRiZ are classic 'feel good' dubstep tunes that you can blast out in the sun. Rameses B is known more for his ability to create soft melodic dubstep tracks, but this new tune called "Digidrop" shows off some new bassy glitch sounds.

FILTH

This week we've got a special exclusive track from Los Angeles producer OHAY!, who adds a little extra gritty bass flavor to FRNKNSTN's "Notion." This track keeps the subtle chopped up female vocals of the original and when the bass finally drops, you can see where OHAY!'s specialty lies, keeping it clean yet filthy. Butch Clancy's been slowly but consistently producing grade 'A' bass heavy tracks. On hiatus for a while, he's finally back at it with with "Autopilot." Through his Facebook, he tells us that there is something huge in the works with none other than UK pop star Ellie Goulding.

OLDIES

This 2008 track "Dirt Nap" by Excision & Subvert is drumstep at its finest. Hip hop vocal samples, Middle Eastern twang, and a whole lot of bass makes this one of Excision's best, up until X-Rated came out. Which, for me, blew everything else out of the water.

DRUM & BASS

To carry on the summer theme (which was not planned in advance, by the way) I have a tune from Sigma aptly named "Summer Days." Coming to us straight from the 2012 Hospitality mix, so you know it's a quality drum & bass tune. Also as a little treat this week, Liquid Stranger dropped a new filthy remix to Noisia's 2011 track "Friendly Intentions."

CHILL

Let's kick off this chill section with some new J:Kenzo, we know he doesn't stray too far from his roots that often. So when you see one of his tracks you know to expect a classic dubstep track with plenty of heavy wobble. Noise Toy takes the melodic tune of "Earth Island" by Crystal Fighters' and flips it on its head with a heavy undertone of bass and snapping drums.
