Sabzi needs no introduction. Yesterday he released his May beat tape, something he has been doing for the past two months (see Exit-163a from March and Delridge from April) under his pet project, "Townfolk". Yesler underscores the astute producer's ability to grind out new beats, rhythms and electronic concoctions with no end in sight. Exit-163a was forty tracks alone but April and now May bring yet another forty tracks as well. On Yesler, we find no shortage of jazz riffs harmoniously fused with funk notes and yet it all works somehow, someway. The Townfolk collection needs no further explanation so without further ado: check out Yesler here.
