The Hood Internet – "See Youth" (Usher x Santigold)

The mashup machine that is Chicago DJ/production duo The Hood Internet have struck gold once again this time with their mashup of Usher's Rick Ross assisted single "Lemme See" and Santigold's hit single "Disparate Youth" off her new album Master Of My Make-Believe. As with any respectable mashup the seamlessness with which both songs are melded together makes "See Youth" a winner.

In somewhat of a trade-off production-wise "Disparate Youth" takes center stage while Usher's vocals are the focal point of the mashup. The real surprise comes towards the end of the track when Rick Ross gets in on the mashup action, which adds another welcomed dimension to the already dope mashup.

Remixes and mashups alike have the powers of swaying listeners to embrace music/artists they otherwise likely would have not. So whether you're a fan of Usher, Santi and/or Rick Ross, I think The Hood Internet's mashup has the potential to win you over (at least for the moment) regardless of your music preferences and genre allegiances.
