By all accounts it is becoming more apparent that Jhené Aiko has taken on the unofficial title of the rising female vocalist in the world of R&B. The songstress' Sailing Soul(s) mixtape, released last March, garnered much praise and attention and all but made her a household name.
Now as the 24-year-old singer-songwriter preps her debut album, Souled Out with the help of veteran producer No I.D., fans who've been waiting with baited breath for new music from the LA songstress can collectively exhale with the recent release of new track titled "2 Seconds."
With her honeyed vocals Aiko delivers some assertive lyrics in this self-written song that chronicles a troubled relationship. Despite being an unfinished track, the record will surely be warmly received by fans and tide them over until the release of "3:16", a single off Aiko's forthcoming debut album.
