UK grime producer Darq E Freaker (of “Next Hype” fame) teams up with US internet rap phenomenon Danny Brown for a typically different track. Anyone who’s heard Darq E Freaker’s massive "Cherryade" from 2011 will be right at home here with the familiar rumbling, playfully retuned organs allowing Danny Brown to lace the beat with his distinctive yet unpredictable rapping accordingly. The two artists' harsh stylings complement one another perfectly, creating a fascinating-yet-suited duo. The blend of UK grime and US rap on "Blueberry" pays off very well. Personally, ever since Danny Brown shouted out Darq E Freaker for Pitchfork, I was anticipating that something would happen and, a few months later, here we are. The Southern Hospitality-released EP comes backed with remixes from some of the most talented up and coming producers such as the latest Night Slugs recruit Morri$, 5kin&Bone5 and others. Watch the original unsurprisingly drug-fuelled video by Director Yoni Lappin from PinboardFilm and stream Morri$'s heavily soaked 808 remix below:
