"Mainly, I am stuck in a surf rock rut" introduces Logan Hyde seconds within of Zen Tiger's newest (potentially the first?) track. Zen Tiger is the alliance of Dale W. Eisinger and Hyde as both of them are currently touring with Youth Lagoon, supporting Powers' live band. Eisinger on the drums and Hyde on the guitar. At roughly 3 am last night, Zentiger threw "Khamplain's Quinn" on soundcloud. You might be familiar with Eisinger from a previous mix of Death Grips but he is also a writer for Impose and Adhoc. This initial track from Boise, Idaho based psych rock band Zen Tiger contains a steady rhythmic drum beat, smothered with loud gentle strums of an amplified guitar, all of which gets intensified as the garage sound continues. Zen Tiger has plans on releasing an EP later this year. Be on a look out!
