I start this post with a caveat: this track isn't brand new. The album it's on, Manchester's Zed Bias's Biasonic Hotsauce – Birth of the Nanocloud, was released November 1, 2011 on Tru Thoughts, so a good number of you may have already heard it. But it's the kind of album that probably blew up in some circles while others slept on it entirely, so when I was offered an exclusive download of one of the album's tracks, "Yagga," featuring vocals from hip-hop/reggae artist Serocee, I couldn't turn it down. (And hopefully, you won't be able to either. Who doesn't love legitimate free music?)
"Yagga" melds together 8-bit synth sounds, a satisfying bassline, and energizing vocals. Make sure to check out the album if you haven't already — if Zed Bias alone wasn't enough to tempt you, it also features guest appearances from Skream, FaltyDL, Toddla T, Sam Frank, and more.
