Here's a newcomer to EARMILK, by the name SoJorn, that after 1 listen left me craving more. I haven't heard much about this Tennessee native, but his "Drum Machine" remix of Five Knives has been on repeat since I heard it. It's difficult for me to categorize this remix into one main genre as it seems to have focal elements of various genres, moombahton and glitch-hop come to mind. Yet it is this fusion of sounds from the different genres, the nostalgia I get when I hear the vocals (reminds me a bit of Macarena…you know you listened to it too), the feeling of not having a care in the world as I listened over and over again, that originally enticed me. Simply, this aquatic sounding track by SoJorn will reside at the top of my "Recently Played" list on iTunes for days and it wouldn't surprise me if the same held true for you.
