The Club – Best of 2011 [part 4/4]

Welcome to THE CLUB. A weekly dose of your favourite house, progressive house, electro house, and everything-in-between.. Each week I'll bring you a selection of my favourites from the week from the best producers in the world. I'll try to feature an emerging artist or two that catches my eye more than most, so make sure to keep your eye out for weekly servings of the biggest and best names in house music worldwide.

And so we conclude this Best of 2011 list with a look back at some of the more uplifting progressive house tracks from the likes of Kaskade, Dirty South and Thomas Gold.  Kaskade released my favourite dance album of the year called "Fire & Ice", featuring tracks such as "Eyes" and "Turn It Down", but what I loved most about the album is that it comes with an "ice" mix to every dance track. Kaskade really showed his talent as a producer as he crafted gems that recall memories of Imogen Heap, in addition to dropping club ready bombs with Dada Life, Skrillex, and the lovely Rebecca & Fiona.

Dirty South and Thomas Gold teamed up for what many would consider to be the track of the year. Kate Elsworth provides the beautiful vocals for "Alive", which was remixed by another Ausie, Tommy Trash. He took what everyone loved in the original and dropped his signature trashy bass to turn it into an electro banger. Even Thomas Gold himself plays the Tommy Trash remix in his live sets.

If you've missed the first parts of this list, MAKE SURE to check them out below! There was no order for the list, so some of the best are scattered throughout parts 1-3.
