Daily 2% - Chilled and Ready to Serve [King Krule]

This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill...

Today's delivery is brought to you by King Krule. This redhead artist is able to maintain a sound that is equally innocent and raw. He's only 17 (possibly 18 now) and quickly caused an internet stir when he first hit the scene. His whole persona somewhat reminds me of Jean-Michel Basquiat in the fact that both of these artists express themselves in what could be seen as a simplistic form yet the genius is obviously present. King Krule brings a new way to listen to the world around you. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Bleak Bake" which comes from his recently released self titled EP. With this song you'll find, much like most of his music, that it contains washed out instrumentals mixed with his own raspy and unrefined vocal talent. It's a nostalgic soft rock sound that also carries some of the sounds you would expect during the doo-wop era. Check out the track and chill...
