Shlohmo recently put his signature, 8-bit touch over rising folk/soul songstress Lianne La Havas' "Forget". When I first listened to this track, I imagined Mario getting dumped by Princess Peach. The complexity of this hazy and atmospheric mix could easily make one forget the tranquil, "let him down easy" impression of Havas' original song; so if you haven't already, I would suggest listening to it first. Just recently coming off tour with indie-folk notable, Bon Iver, Havas plans on releasing "Forget" some time in February on Lost & Found Records. Her debut LP is being prepped for a release later this year.
