WZRD (Kid Cudi & DotDaGenius) – "Brake"

Here we are with another sample from Kid Cudi & DotDaGenius a.k.a WZRD. Leading up to their currently "untitled" LP, due on January 30th, which is also CuDi's birthday. According to Cudder, the album, which will not include any profanity, was pushed back in order to "get the proper time to mix and master". The LP will most likely be released on his label Wicked Awesome Records, produced by Dot Da Genius with Cudi playing the guitar if you didn't know. Check It Out And Enjoy. Follow me @Ebonicss

  • Fuck me, this is amazing. Way ahead of most artists and unlike Lil Wayne this "rock" album is sounding legit.

  • I find this to be a triumphant step for Cudi. He has accomplished exactly what he foreboded to his fans, and is stepping out of the darkness of the "rap industry." It may be a tad sloppy, as some might put it, but from this and other "leaks" from the upcoming LP, I feel that this is a great way for Cudi to let his unseen talent be shown, or at least for him to express himself in a more eloquent way than rap. Perhaps, this LP will be a total failure, but it will be a memorable one. Musicality-wise for this track, the distorted, droning guitar fits perfectly with his familiar, echoing vocals, and spacey synths, if you ask me. This is almost exactly what I expected from WZRD. This is a wonderful track in my opinion, and frankly I'm excited for the LP to say the least.
But we all have our opinions and reasons why, so let it be, and try not to hate, even if you really don't like it.
