Music is emotive. Or at least, good music is emotive. If it doesn't provoke some kind of response you can safely say that kind of tune is probably not for you. This music makes me feel so very bloody happy and carefree. It's the kind of tunes you kick back, nod your head, tap your foot and forget whatever is troubling you, maybe grab a hairbrush or an air guitar and play along mid-ironing session.
Taken off The Milks' B-Roads and B Sides EP, due out December 19th, the band blend soul, mo-town and old school hip-hop vibes together with a contemporary edge that is as catchy as it is stand-out.
The second track is a free download from UK hip-hop artist Byron. I've had one eye on Bryon for a while, so I am genuinely chuffed to deliver a verdict of "this is a tuuuuuune" for his bootleg take on the track.
