While chillwave is associated with the majority of upcoming indie bands, let's take a flashback to alternative rock music. Remember growing up and listening to Radiohead, Coldplay or The Verve? Well, there is a band from the UK providing the same kind of comfort as those alternative classics. This unison of four goes by the name of I Dream In Colour. If that rung a bell, Richard Judge (singer) says, after realizing, "Radiohead got their name from a Talking Heads song. When I was looking for a name for our band, I took their advice and looked to a hero. I picked up the Beatles anthology and turned straight to the page of John Lennon. The first line I read was 'When I dream, I dream in colour.'" That's correct, the band name came from a Beatles reference.
On December 5th, I Dream In Colour will drop their debut single "Strangest Place" with a b-side, "Still Got A Hold On Me" via Euphonios. Besides the Soundcloud player of "Strangest Place", I have another track for our indie milkers. "Long Cold Lonely Winter" features impassioned vocals from Richard as he tries to forget a past love. I'm sure this is something we can relate to. Give it a try.
