Night Rumours – Week 9

Night Rumours – It's what keeps you up at night. From the basement to the bright lights – you're here today because you love dance music and want a little more wamp. Hitting Electro, EDM, Techno and back — every week, Amperror (aka electblake) will bring you the next wave of floor burners. It's not a sundae, it's a massacre.

This week, in defence of music in clubs everywhere, we were presented with a strong account of Hearsay, which in itself does not prove our case, but shows what danceable smooth remixes & a Cherry Bikini can do.

First I want to say that the Algebraic Satellite remix of the well endowed "Nightcall" is one of the best I've heard. This Kavinsky track has had it's core components available for ages for anyone brave enough to step to the plate but Algebraic Satellite does the best. Personally, it's my favourite but I'll be hearing arguments to that affect later on.

Next I wanted to pull out the first track I've posted by a gentleman who works as Unison. What he says "came to him at a show" (no doubt listening to the original), his remix of "Space Junk" by the impenetrable Wolfgang Gartner is a subtle but effective mix on this mainstage classic. Taking a specific iconic bit and weaving into a smooth house trip.

I gotta give a shoutout to those of you lucky few who've been able to get one of our first tee-shirt. You may recognize me from the latest photo – in my excitment to see 3 people wearing the tee at the same time, but as a selfless plug & a BIG thanks to those who've already supported – checkout the Earmilk Store – 100% Milky Duds.

This post & the secrets locked inside is dedicated to blondes, blush, bass & cherry bikinis (not necessarily in that order)
