Earmilk proudly introduces a rising San Diego band, Inspired and the Sleep. With influences of tUnE-yArDs and Yellow Ostrich, Inspired and the Sleep created a painfully bliss song with flutes, rice shakers and other fun devices."While We're Young" is the name of that song and the single off of their upcoming album, Teenagers.
Members of Inspired and the Sleep are music lovers and lifeguards who are part time insomniacs. Their description on Facebook asks "Have you ever gone to bed thinking tomorrow will be a new day chalk-full of new beginnings and opportunity only to wake up to more of the same?" Well, these guys share their optimism and lack of sleep through this lovable pop band.
"While We're Young" has such upbeat harmonies that will make you leap around for 2 minutes. On top of that, it screams a DIY feel. I don't know about you but I treasure anything with that kind of genuine creativity. Play the track below and see what I am talking about.
