As recognized and anticipated on music blogs worldwide, French shoegaze band M83 has a double album release on October 18th. To hype their fans, Anthony Gonzalez even mentioned to Pitchfork about how this project is "very, very, very epic" and "very orchestrated".
Those words are exactly what came to my mind when I heard the album opener, "Intro". Anthony paired up with Russian singer Zola Jesus and created a majestic first single for Hurry Up,We're Dreaming. From the start 50 seconds of "Intro", there's whispers and a steady electronic build up, followed by Anthony belting out "Carry on! Carry on!". Then as the drums begin, Zola sets off her gothic voice and the blend of these two artists is just "very epic". Now be one of the firsts to hear "Intro", stream it below.
