A children's television producer and a local music creator by the name of Marc is one fascinating man. Signed with Paper Garden Records, Marc manages to keep The City and Horses in the shadows of Brooklyn's indie music scene. According to Time Out New York, Marc produces music that is both "wise and disarmingly wistful". Facebook says some of his influences are Jens Lekman, The Smiths, Pulp, and Joseph Peter Mrnarevic.
The City and Horses are a sweet-sounding band with poppy tunes and choruses from Marc's delectable voice. He just released an awkwardly funny music video for We Will Never Be Discovered. It features a pair of middle-aged man and woman dressed in provocative layers of orange, dancing to the quirky lyrics of the song. Album will be out on September 27 but you can always pre-order. For now, download Marc's free single We Will Never Be Discovered from the Soundcloud player below.
