On August 25, St. Vincent performed for a special event at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. According to Consequence of Sound, this was the band's first live performance since the announcement of their new, forthcoming album, Strange Mercy, to be released on September 13 in the U.S. and Sept. 12 in the UK through 4AD.
Along with playing the already released "Surgeon", St. Vincent played three unheard tracks from the new album: "Cheerleader", "Year of the Tiger" and "Champagne Year".
