M.I.A. – “27”

In response to hearing about Amy Winehouse passing; M.I.A. has released this new track entitled "27". This is an apparent acknowledgement of the infamous "27 Club" where many musicians (Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, etc) have passed at the age of 27 and usually during a high point in their career. Now, the track was actually recorded a while back and is not an entirely a tribute to Amy Winehouse but did spark the release. The track ends a little unexpectedly and early; just like the lives of the "27 Club" members. Although i think the sudden cut off is just because its an unfinished demo but it makes it a bit more eerie in its current form.
