You've seen his face a lot around here. He's Bristol's classic house maiden Julio Bashmore. A Tiga first pick on Turbo 100, his simplistic vintage grooves can cast you into a soul fanatic. Recently he's kick started a label of his own called Futureboogie Recordings, and today marks their second release which features a native city man of his named Christophe. Julio serves to sooth in his piano mix. With a smooth keyboard rhythm that's so repetitive it's timeless. And to top off all the steam and sexy, he applies soft 909 hats to cushion the boog.
(FBR002) Futureboogie Recordngs – Christophe The Force EP
Hearing all that this EP has to offer, you'd think it was made decades ago. That's what's to love about this release. It's resurging the vibes that were born and stuck in the eras of funk, disco, and early house. Don't dance to this, boogie instead.
