Today's delivery is brought to you by Nick Drake. He was a English singer-songwriter that, unfortuently, didnt receive as much attention when he was alive as when he passed away. His genius seemed to take quite a long time before they were truely recognized by the masses. His passing came in 1974 when he was only 26 years of age which almost puts him in the infamous "27 club" (Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison..etc). But what he left behind was an amazing assortment of heartfelt and somber songs that will last for generations. While actively producing music; he was signed to Island Records who also had Bob Marley signed close to that time. The song I'm bringing to you today is "Place To Be" which is from his last album entitled Pink Moon (1972). It's a somber folksy track that will have actually have you thinking that he is the original Jack Johnson because he has a somewhat similar tone and delivery. Well at least in this song he does. Check out the track and chill….
