Today's delivery is brought to you by Pretty Lights. Pretty Lights (aka Derek Smith), who hails from Colorado, is one hell of a legendary producer. He only really got his start back in 2006 but quickly made a name for himself with his downtempo and hip-hop-esque beats. You hear a complex simplicity in his work that resonates and sticks with you. It quickly has you noddin' your head. I'd also like to point out that Derek Smith started out as a solo artist but ended up adding Adam Deitch to assist with live performances. The track I'm bringing to you today is entitled "Happiness (Troubled Faces)" which is from his 2006 album entitled Taking Up Your Precious Time.
