Today's delivery is brought to you by Wax Poetic. This group,which was started by saxophonist Ilhan Ersahin, originally hails from New York and was once classified as a "trip-hop" collective. They came together in the late 90's. This track features Norah Jones and I should mention that when the track below was produced; she wasn't still part of the group but she used to be in the group before she released Come Away With Me. The track I'm bringing to you today is "Angels" and it comes from Wax Poetic's NuBlu Sessions album that dropped back in 2004. It's hard to classify the genre of the track because its such a smooth mix of so many different genres including: jazz, lounge, pop, world, trip-hop, etc. The track is something you might hear from Thievery Corporation which is fitting considering I've included a Thievery remix of the track below as well.
