Today's delivery is brought to you by Citizen Cope. He made waves back in 2002 when he released the self titled album, Citizen Cope, with his ability to blend so many genres together so effortlessly. The track I'm bringing to you today, "Let The Drummer Kick", is from that album and it definitely does the aforementioned blending of the genres. The track is pretty hip-hop heavy compared to most tracks on the album so it's not necessarily a good track to prepare you for the whole album if you aren't familiar with the artist. But it's one of the chillest releases from Citizen Cope that I've ever heard. I think this type of track easily gets stuck in your head but that's a good thing because you'll have this on repeat for a few days for sure. Also, I've included an awesome typography video that was done for this track. I normally suggest headphones for Daily 2% tracks and I would still suggest them for this track. But I also think you could blast this track on speakers and still get the awesome vibe it exudes. You could put on a jacket and open your windows so you can blast it for all your neighbors to hear.
