I remember actually reading somewhere that Fischerspooner actually got popularized through having their track in Guitar Hero – one of the first artist success stories through new media marketing (hey, whatever works)
After I read that article I went and dug up more about the synpop electroclash NYC duo – Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner.
Anyway, It's seems like they are out and about and offering the stems to their latest Infidels Of the World Unite to talented and independant artists alike, which are not necessarily mutually exclusive ;)
