Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve [GZA]

This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill…

Today's delivery is brought to you by GZA. This track is actually a diss track for 50 Cent but keeps a pretty steady and chilled beat which just has you nodding your head while you listen to a man getting destroyed. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Paper Plate" and its from GZA's 2008 album entitled Pro Tools. Been slacking a little bit on the Daily 2% and it's been more like the Tri-Weekly 2% but that just doesn't have quite the same ring to it. In order for a track to make it on to a Daily 2% it must pass my "20 times in a row" test to make sure its actually as good as I think. But i'll definitely step up the game in this department but for now listen to the track and chill…

  • I really was/am into GZA's music and pro tools was a pretty solid album i can remember, but I was so dissapointed after seeing a show by GZA here in Amsterdam.. it was really poor, he brought no energy to the show, just stood there brabbling into the mic (couldnt even understand what he was actually rapping.. if it wasnt for the (bangin) beats, I wouldnt be able to recognize which song it was.
Ok, I after all, GZA remains great artist ofcourse, everyone can have a bad day I guess (especially after spending to long in the coffeeshops here lol)
so I forgive him for charging me 40 euros for a ticket to see a lazy and uninterested act.. :P
That all said.. music still is bangin like a mothaf****
