He's Back.

The Don Rimini started our as Xavier Gassemann, a young teenager in Paris djing real raves, in places where he could learn how to control a crowds heartbeat and bed-time. Waking up one day in the ghetto club scene, Xavier learned the back alley art of hiphop turntablism, The Don was now taking shape.

The Don Rimini that I fell in love with released his Absolutely Rad EP [Mental Groove] in 2008 which contained mostly 1 iconic track Let Me Back Up, a blistering club anthem. Seeing as this was 2008, electro was on the rise and this hiphop dj found himself including a remix of the also very hiphop house and electro first-mover Crookers.

The Crookers Tetsujin Remix put Don Rimini on my radar, but like all good explorers I downloaded the original and realized the glory that is french house + hiphop that is the Don Rimini…

NLarge Your Parties, hails the return of Don Rimini, and although I'm sure he's had some serious activity behind the tables and in your faces, new releases have been non-sequiters for the last year or two.

now support him, support us, and support the music.
